I spent a lot of time writing and editing in college, mostly about topics related to technology and culture.

Over time, I think I've moved away from some of my lefty tendencies and become much more pro-technology. In parallel, I've felt more like I want to 'build' the technology rather than just write about it; I want to be in the game rather than on the sidelines. This all said, being a strong writer has helped me immensely in this regard, and I still love the process of researching/interviewing for a piece and putting it together. I also still write a small personal newsletter to friends and family, and various things (like this website!) on occasion. Anyways, here's what I've worked on:

Editing

Founding Editor, Syntax Magzine (03/23-01/24)

With my friends Chia and Anabelle we curated and edited 18 pieces for the first issue of Syntax, a magazine about culture and the Internet we created. You can read more about Syntax here

Science & Tech Editor, The College Hill Independent (09/21-1/22)

Together, my co-editor Amelia and I published nine pieces. Favorites in bold!

I should note: the Indy always ran left of my tastes, and I left the paper when the staff voted to add "leftist" to the mission statement. Still, I grew immensely as a writer and editor, and love much of the work I did.

Contributing Editor, Kernel Magazine Issue 1 (05/21-09/21)

I edited two pieces for the first issue of Kernel Magazine, Jasmine Sun's take back the future! a progressive case for techno-optimism and Chris Painter's Unstoppable Mechanisms
